Tripp Lite's 16-ft. (4.88 m) USB 2.0 Extension Cable is a bus powered extension cable that can be used to increase the length of a device cable without the worry of signal loss and potential performance problems. USB limits a cable's length to 16-ft. (4.88 m). Any length above 16-ft. (4.88 m) requires the use of an active cable such as this one. This cable has a signal booster built in. The overall cable length can be extended up to 80-ft. (24.38 m) by daisy-chaining up to 5 of these active cables. The U026-016 provides up to 150mA of power to the connected device. If your device requires more than 150mA of power, it will either need to have its own power supply or need to be plugged into a powered USB 2.0 hub (such as U222-004-R) that is connected to the U026-016. Use a standard 6-ft. (1.83 m), 10-ft. (3.05 m), or 15-ft. (4.57 m) USB cable to reach the desired distance.

System Requirements
- A USB 2.0 port and USB 2.0 device are required to achieve USB 2.0 speeds. A USB 1.1 port and/or device can be used, but you will not be able to achieve USB 2.0 speeds.
- The U026-016 provides up to 150mA of power to the connected device. If your device requires more than 150mA of power, it will either need to have its own power supply; or, to be plugged into a powered USB 2.0 hub (such as U222-004-R) that is connected to the U026-016.
