Overview
This SmartRack open frame rack has no doors or side panels. It features integrated baying tabs to combine multiple racks in rows for data center applications. It is compatible with hot-aisle/cold-aisle configurations.
The SR42UBEXPND houses 3000 lbs (1360.8 kgs) of standard 19-inch rack equipment in 42U. Square mounting holes on its rear and front vertical mounting rails adjust in quarter-inch increments from 4 to 37 inches. Each rack space is numbered for at-a-glance reference. An easy-to-read depth index ensures consistent rail placement without requiring time-consuming measurements.
Two vertical mounting rails support toolless button-mount 0U installation of four compatible PDUs and cable managers. This makes it easier to route cabling to rack equipment and reduces cord clutter.
Components are grounded to the enclosure frame. Threaded grounding points are provided for connection to the facility earth ground.
To simplify deployment, the SR42UBEXPND includes preinstalled casters that enable it to be easily maneuvered into the desired location, where it can be secured by adjusting the preinstalled levelers. Note: the casters are intended for minor position adjustments and are not designed for moving the enclosure over long distances.

- Toolless accessory mounting rails (2 rails per enclosure) are compatible with 0U PDUs and vertical cable managers installed side-by-side
- Mounting slots are arranged in an industry-standard pattern compatible with a wide variety of accessories
- Mounting hardware included (50 M6 cage nuts and 50 M6 screws)
- Textured powder-coat finish stands up to busy, harsh applications, such as warehouses and basements
- Maximum usable internal depth of 37 in./94 cm (front to rear rail)
- Weight ratings: 3000 lbs (1360.8 kgs) stationary/2250 lbs (1020.6 kgs) rolling
- Built-in baying tabs allow secure combination of racks in rows with center-to-center width set at 600 mm or 24 in. to match standard floor tiles
- Removable leveling feet extend to allow positioning on uneven floors
- Compact design allows the rack to roll through standard-height commercial doorways
