If you have a VGA monitor but want to take advantage of the high-performance of a DVI-I video card, this adapter links your VGA monitor (with its HD15 male interface) to the DVI-I female interface. Consequentially, if you have a DVI-I monitor, this adapter will also allow you to connect your DVI-I monitor to a VGA enabled computer. DVI-A Male to HD15 Female.
